What the Fonbet app is
Fonbet has native apps for iOS and Android — not a “wrapped” website. It shows in speed: 1.5-second cold start, a slot opens in 2 seconds, a live table in 3. iOS: installed in 1 minute
Open the App Store, search “Fonbet” — or scan the QR code on fonbet.gr. The app is free, 84 MB, requires iOS 15 or later (iPhone 8 onwards). After installing: log in, enable Face ID under “Settings → Security”, accept notifications. Updates come through the App Store, usually every 2–3 weeks.
On iPad the app runs full screen in a two-column layout — live tables are especially good here.
Android: installing from APK
Like almost every Greek operator, Fonbet isn’t (yet) on the Play Store. You download the APK file directly from the site — the steps above. Points to note:
- Download only from fonbet.gr. APK files from “mirror” sites may be modified.
- The “Install from unknown sources” warning is Android’s standard safeguard for anything outside the Play Store — not a sign of a problem.
- After installing you can disable the permission for Chrome again.
- Updates aren’t automatic: the app notifies you and downloads the new APK with one tap.
Requirements: Android 8.0+, 2 GB RAM. We tested on a Pixel 7, Samsung A54, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 — no issues. On Huawei without Google services it works normally (doesn’t depend on Play).
